The St. Louis Rams' 2012 NFL Draft is over, and for the second year in a row they've picked up two wide receivers for Sam Bradford's possible benefit. Over at Turf Show Times they've done the math, and it's time to wonder: Will Danario Alexander still be around next year? Mark this down as one of those only-a-rumor-because-it-makes-sense rumors, for now; two receivers are likely to be on their way out next year, and with Steve Smith also in place all the incumbents but Danny Amendola—that's Brandon Gibson, Alexander, Austin Pettis, and Greg Salas—have a lot to worry about.

Which reminds me—this would have been an excellent time to trade Danny Amendola, right?

Alexander was the Rams' most dangerous wide receiver this side of Brandon Lloyd last year, and the only one—this is awful—to catch more than one touchdown. But his injury history holds a roster spot hostage so long as he's in the Rams' plans, and it might be that Jeff Fisher and Les Snead simply can't deal with that with more personnel they'd like to try.
