Rams Free Agency 2012: DE William Hayes Schedules Visits With Rams And Broncos

Free agent defensive end William Hayes has scheduled visits with the St. Louis Rams and Denver Broncos, according to Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com, and the Rams may have an advantage in the recruiting. Hayes was a fourth-round pick (No. 103 overall) by the Tennessee Titans in the 2008 NFL Draft, and played first under Jeff Fisher so he will likely be familiar with the defensive scheme in St. Louis.

Hayes turns 27 years old on May 2, and since being separated from Fisher he has seen far less playing time. In 2012 he started just one game and picked up 1.5 sacks, but the high-point of his career game back in 2009 when he recorded four sacks and 30 tackles as the starting left defensive end in 2009.
