NFL Mock Draft 2012: Justin Blackmon, St. Louis Rams A Perfect, Plausible Match

For everyone but the Cleveland Browns and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, vested with the power to change the course of history, this part of the 2012 NFL Mock Draft is nearly inevitable: The St. Louis Rams nearly always select Justin Blackmon, and Sam Bradford must nearly always be very happy, at least for that moment. Our mock draft will be no different.

It's simple: The Rams just haven't had a really good wide receiver for Sam Bradford since he was drafted. Danny Amendola has nothing but good hands, and Brandon Lloyd was just a ship passing in the night, and mostly getting passed at by A.J. Feeley. Getting Bradford a true downfield threat and a dangerous possession receiver might not be the difference-maker, but there's little else to try.

It all comes down to Trent Richardson and Morris Claiborne: If the Browns and the Buccaneers move as planned, Blackmon's all St. Louis's and the Edward Jones Dome will be a-rockin'. If either team surprises, the Rams could end up with leftovers again.

SB Nation St. Louis's 2012 NFL Mock Draft is moving from No. 1 to 32 in the days leading up the real draft. You can follow along at our draft storystream, or read more mock draft recaps in our mock draft analysis storystream.
