Fantasy Football Rankings: Brian Quick Gets Reality Checked... On A St. Louis Rams Blog

The St. Louis Rams' fantasy football rankings are now being denigrated by Rams-fan bloggers. Life is hard.

Well, nobody ever said the fine citizens at Turf Show Times were, more than a decade into the Greatest Show on Turf hangover, too optimistic; DCRamsFan, offering his latest fantasy football tip, takes a look at the wide receiver fantasy football rankings for 2012 and exhorts St. Louis Rams fans to not draft second-round pick Brian Quick, under any circumstances.

Which is perfectly fair--for one thing, unless you have a bunch of other Rams fans in your league, you'll be able to pick him up in free agency anyway, if you really want him. For anoher thing--well, we've been bitten on this before. We at SB Nation St. Louis were, like many other blogs, more than a little too high on last year's revelatory pass-catcher, Lance Kendricks, and despite a thrilling preseason he underperformed both in fantasy football and real life.

So I understand the reasoning behind ensuring that friends don't let blog-reading friends draft Brian Quick, but the whole exercise just reminds me how thankless being a Rams fan is sometimes. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go think about how I used to draft Isaac Bruce and then be sad for a while.
