While it's no secret that the St. Louis Rams have struggled since the end of the Greatest Show On Turf era, head coach Jeff Fisher is more than aware of how bad things have been. According to an interview with The Greenville News, Fisher knows how bad things have been, but is confident he can get it turned around:
"No team in NFL history has lost more games in a five-year span than the Rams the last five years," Fisher said. "So the people are anxious. They have high expectations. They want a winner, so we’re going to go up there to get it turned around."
Since his arrival, there has been constant turnover in the roster. While each position needed improvement, Fisher did turn to his former job to bring in a couple key players from Tennessee, including CB Cortland Finnegan.
"That was important. It was a need for us and it happened to be a great timing situation," Fisher said. "We saw that he was available and we got that put together. We also signed (former Titans defensive end) William Hayes and Will’s doing a great job. He’s healthy now and he’s excited about playing in our system."
