Sam Bradford Reminds St. Louis Rams Fans He Can Be Very Good At Football

St. Louis Rams fans have had a hard time idolizing Sam Bradford over the last year. After a superficially good year in 2010 Bradford had a shortened, superficially less attractive, and altogether uglier year in 2011, losing all the trust he'd instilled in casual fans and just narrowly managed to avoid losing in stat-minded fans. Saturday night some of the casual fans probably got curious again: He tossed two touchdowns and averaged more than 10 yards per attempt in a big win vs. the Kansas City Chiefs.

In case that got you in the mood for some more good Sam Bradford, here's his gamelog; begin sorting and knock yourself out. My personal favorite, as bad as it turned out, was that absurd start against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football, back when we were all very optimistic about the 2011 season. Why?

Because it was just potential. All potential. 22-for-46, 331 yards, one touchdown. Inefficient and absurdly good, divorced from Shurmur, not yet possessing the stink of Josh McDaniels's imminent departure. That's what I want to see from a struggling former No. 1 quarterback.

It's what I hope to see again.
