The Dallas Cowboys had a bit of a competition going on in the back of their corps of wide receivers, and if it was settled last week they owe it all to the St. Louis Rams. (So we have that going for us.) Dwayne Harris, who didn't catch a single pass last season as a little-used special teamer, caught three balls for 118 yards and two touchdowns Saturday vs. the Rams. He and Tony Romo combined to score two rapid touchdowns, putting the Rams down for good and just about ending the first-team portion of the Cowboys Stadium entertainment.
↵Over at the national SB Nation's fantasy sports types think this performance could solidify Harris as one of the Cowboys' primary slot guys. He's not likely to become a real fantasy weapon, so far as I can tell, but if the Cowboys are unable to make Dez Bryant into an adult that could change in a hurry.
↵In the meantime: We didn't get to watch Danario Alexander blossom into a star, and we haven't seen much out of Brian Quick or Chris Givens, but at least the Rams have this going for them.
