Darian Stewart Injury: St. Louis Rams Safety Could Return On Special Teams

The St. Louis Rams expect to have second-year safety Darian Stewart back on Sunday for their game against the Chicago Bears, though Stewart will mostly be used on special teams in the game. Via Turf Show Times:

"There was too much practice time and game time missed," head coach Jeff Fisher said of the safety's reduced role. He returns to the lineup this week, and will likely be active in place of an injured Matt Daniels.

"Matt will be out for the game," Fisher said. "So with that being said, yes, Stewart has a chance to be able to take his place on special teams."

Stewart missed much of training camp and the preseason battling injuries, and had fallen down the Rams depth chart.

In other injury news, Rams running back Steven Jackson is still questionable for Sunday's contest, while Bears running back Matt Forte has already been ruled out of the game.
