Robbie Gould nailed a 54-yard field goal to put the Chicago Bears on the board as they lead the St. Louis Rams, 3-0, after the first quarter in the Windy City Sunday.
Both defenses have come out strong in the first 15 minutes. Cortland Finnegan intercepted Jay Cutler on the second-to-last play of the quarter after Chicago was marching down the field. Finnegan returned the ball 32 yards before a series of fumbles by both teams ended up being overturned, leaving the Rams with possesion. St. Louis went three-and-out, their drive ending in a Chicago sack.
Rams QB Sam Bradford has three completions for 18 yards so far on the day. Cutler has completed just 4-of-11 pass attempts.
The Bears will start the second quarter with posession.
