St. Louis Rams defensive tackles Michael Brockers and Darell Scott did not practice Thursday due to injury and will not be available for Sunday's season opener against the Detroit Lions, according to Turf Show Times. A third defensive tackle, Matt Conrath, also missed today's practice and is questionable for Sunday.
Brockers injured his knee during the Rams' fourth preseason game against Baltimore. Head coach Jeff FIsher told reporters that Brockers was wearing a boot, and that he expected Brockers to miss 2-4 weeks. Brockers was the team's first-round draft pick in April and the rookie had worked his way into the starting lineup.
Scott is also nursing a knee injury from August. Conrath, an undrafted free agent who had worked his way into the lineup during passing situations during the exhibition season, also has a knee injury.
The Rams open their 2012 season against Detroit Sunday.
